Summary: Remington Axcess Hedge Trimmer 2008-08-11
Comment: I purchased this trimmer to reach the tops of some white pines I keep shaped up. This unit does the job perfectly thus eliminating the need to work off a ladder.
It is heavy and puts a strong cantilever load on your arms when extended, but works fine in conjunction with a conventional trimmer used on the lower branches.

Comment: This is an absolute piece of garbage. The original and the substitute sent by Amazon both did not work. I couldn't believe it. At least Amazon was cool about the refund. Do NOT by this reconditioned piece of garbage! The workers who recondition these pole hedge trimmers at Remington must be a bunch of drunken monkeys, I mean, both units immediately jammed, buzzed, and stopped working upon first biting into wood. The morons putting out this horrible product should be boiled in oil and their carcasses left on a fire ant mound. I just bit the bullet and spent a few more bucks for a new Homelite pole hedge trimmer at Home Depot and it works just fine.

It reaches where I can't. However, it can jam easily. Don't force it. And if it jams, give it a short while to cool off. It comes back to life. Even with the jamming problem, I think it's a must-have for large shrubs.

Comment: I tracked this item today with UPS and found it arrived in San Marcos, 20 miles from me at the UPS center on the 13th. I than called UPS and also checked Amazons website and it indicated the item was returned for no apparent reason. UPS never even made a delivery attempt as we receive parcels all the time delivered by UPS. Not
very happy with UPS at this time and did not know how to contact shipper.

Comment: This pole trimmer works very well, but it is top heavy when you extend it. I can only use it say 5 minutes and I must take a break.
