Summary: Great Product!! 2008-08-08
Comment: This power washer is ready to go, right out of the box! The garden hose is attached to the fitting on the back, the washer hose is taken off the reel and attached to the fitting on the front, plug in to an electric outlet, turn on the hose, and voila, you have a pressurized spray! Unlike the Karcher unit which I purchased from Costco, and had to assemble, only to have the tank fall off and the fitting where the garden hose attached leak like the Titanic, the installation was seamless and the pressure washer's performance was superb. Same with a Sistema power washer, piece of junk and no customer support. The Sistema 800 number is not answered. I ordered a part which never arrived; nor was my credit card charged. Spend a little more on this washer and you will not be disappointed.

Comment: I purchased the FAIP pressure washer to replace a Husky electric pressure washer that died after a year of use.
The FAIP pressure washer works incredibly well! I really like the all-in-one features of this unit. It's built like gas-powered unit, with all of the tools in one place. The roll-up wheel of the sprayer hose is a great feature. I bought this unit as an alternative to gas-powered pressure washers that are big, bulky, hard to store and difficult to start. Every one of my friends that have had gas-powered models wished they had never bought them. The FAIP pressure washer is a great alternative, is easy to use, light in weight and powerful. Great machine!

Summary: FAIP - Terrible Customer Service / Useless Pressure Washer 2008-07-29
Comment: I purchased the PowerWasher PWS 1750 about 2 years ago. I only used it for a few small jobs, but it kept tripping after short periods (about 5 minutes) of operation. It would automatically reset itself after 30-60 seconds It also had an oil leak. So, I paid to ship this heavy machine back to FAIP for warranty repair. When I got it back, it ran for longer durations, but still tripped periodically. Since I only used it for relatively small jobs, I decided to live with it, rather than pay for returning it again.
A few months ago, the washer starting tripping more frequently and finally it would only run for about 3-5 seconds before it tripped. It reset itself after being off for about 30 seconds. Talk about frustration - trying to clean a deck or patio with a washer that was off about 10 times more than it was on. I could not locate a number to call FAIP for help, so I tried their online Chat. I ended up wasting 4-5 hours chatting with their only help rep. It was obvious that the washer was tripping due to an internal electrical problem. All other possibilities had been eliminated in the with input from the chat rep and my testing. The Chat guy did not have an electrical schematic to trouble shoot the problem and continually refused to check with his service personnel to get one. He kept saying that even he could not get a schematic for "security and safety reasons". That sure didn't make any sense to me. I think he was just lazy, but their was nobody else that I could talk with. Since it is essentially impossible to solve electrical problems like this without a drawing, I did not end up getting any help from the chat sessions. So now I am stuck with a washer that will only run for 3-5 seconds before tripping off. Needless to say, this unit will be garbage as soon as I can purchase a reliable washer from a reputable supplier.

Summary: Works Great 2008-07-29
Comment: After returing a Husky 1550 PSI unit that was weaker than my garden hose with a kink in it to Home Depot, I decided to give this unit a try based on the reviews. It works really well! While not the most powerful thing on the block it will clean my commercial mowers daily with no problems at all. I can see where heat build-up could be an issue, but I would'nt use this unit for extended periods at a time anyways, nor should you. Plenty of power, lightwieght, the reel is nice, and as with everything amazon had this thing at my house in no time! Overall very satisfied

Comment: After having used a commercial unit for many years the pump gave out. This unit has more pressure than the old one and has more spray adjustment than the old one as well. It is also very easy to get to the place where you need to use it. I think that it is a very good buy and would recomend it.
