Summary: Wasps may think they're pretty 2008-08-16
Comment: But they sure don't get trapped in them. I am back here shopping for wasp traps that do work. I tried the recipies and set up the traps but never caught a single wasp. A pain to put together as well. Too bad.

Summary: not the easiest to use 2008-07-08
Comment: I saw good reviews for this product, but when I tried to make them...what a joke. Trying to cut a perfect hole in a 2 liter plastic bottle (that is constantly collapsing and getting indentations in it) is not easy at all. I made two total, and when I was finished making them, there were small gaps around the edges of the funnel that bugs could escape out of. If these were pre-made, I would be a lot happier. But I have two hanging outside and they have caught a lot of little bugs, but only a couple of hornets/wasps/bees. I may try again next year.

Summary: save your money 2008-06-22
Comment: Living in a very rural area, wasps are a big problem here. My son got stung walking out the front gate, so I ordered this the same day. As soon as I got it, I immediately set up four traps all around the house. Although we caught many other bugs in them, not a single wasp. (and I did try both recipes) This is a waste of money and time.

Summary: Fatal flop, at least for me with wasps. 2008-06-03
Comment: I thought given the affordable price and the positive review already posted, i'd give this a try on my patio. I have a small trex porch that comes off of my sliding glass door that leads to the patio. Wasps are always going in between the trex boards to build nests. I tried both formulas recommended and placed the traps right next to known wasp nests. I still have yet to catch a wasp after more than a month. Haven't had any hornets so i'm not sure how well it would work with them. Mold will accumulate on the liquid after a couple of weeks. If you have success with the trap be sure to change it every so often.

Summary: It really works! 2008-04-10
Comment: I am currently using these Fatal Funnels and they work fantastically. We have lots of wasps here in TN and they love to eat our wooden porch. The Fatal Funnels live up to their name and capture them. In fact, within minutes of putting one out, a wasp flew right into the bottle, no kidding! We are now able to enjoy sitting out on our porch again. This product really does work!
