Amazon.com Product Description
Incredibly easy to use, this electric lawn and garden timer from Gilmour keeps your yard looking its best, even during hot summer months. The two-dial system with electronic keypad is a snap to set: Simply press Enter and listen for the audio beep to confirm program entry; the system will then repeat the watering cycle at the interval set. You can set the program to repeat every 24 hours or you can set it to skip a day. You can also choose a repeat interval from once every six hours up to once every seventh day, and you can set the watering duration from two minutes up to 120 minutes. There are also manual on/off settings that let you water exactly how often you wish, and a swivel nut for easy connection to the faucet. The timer requires two AA alkaline batteries (not included).

Summary: OK 2008-07-21
Comment: Works as advertised. Just kinda basic. It goes on and off, but few "programmable" features. OK for the price, though.

Summary: Not Reliable, don't buy this model, save your water. 2008-07-20
Comment: used it one season and towards the end of last summer i noticed the shut off valve was allowing water to continously pass thru. Ouch, how much water did i waste last year? Its a new season and i forgot all about that valve. I set it up and was testing the program and realized after the valve closed water was still getting by. I had to post this so others don't make the same mistake.

Summary: running time not very conveinent 2008-07-15
Comment: The timing cycle is very limited to the amount of minutes you can set it to water. Seems to go from 30 min to an hour, nothing inbetween.

Summary: Working well after 2 months 2008-07-14
Comment: I've only had the product 2 months, but it seems to be working pretty well. I did not notice the water hammer issue that other reviewers mentioned.

Summary: Two attempts, two failures 2008-07-13
Comment: Bought the model pictured (with two rotary knobs) at a local box store, but it only worked for a few days. They replaced it and it worked for three months - until the batteries died. With new batteries the valve would not stay open. It merely cycled open, paused momentarily, then closed. I'll take it back again and see if they will honor the one year warranty. Granted, it did work reliably for three months, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. The settings for watering frequency and duration are somewhat limited and a bit confusing. The controls feel cheap and the sound the unit makes while opening/closing is like a cheap toy.
