Amazon.com Review
A lightweight, easy-to-use sandblaster for cleaning metal, stone, wood, and fiberglass, Gilmour's Handi-Sand Blaster is perfect for light commercial work and touchups. This air-powered tool connects to any air compressor 1-horsepower or greater that produces as little as 4 cfm at 70 psi. The Handi-Sand Blaster uses economical #1 or #2 silica sand or any 30- to 60-grit blasting material. A 1/4-inch N.P.T. air hose inlet connects quickly for less downtime and more productivity. Hardened steel nozzles (2 included) are threaded for easy replacement. And, a unique sand-cut-off lever stops sand output so that the blaster can be used in an air-blowing-only mode. The Handi-Sand Blaster comes with a one-quart bottle of blasting material to go from shipping box to blasting in just minutes. --Brian Olson

Summary: Don't buy based on Amazon's Description 2007-04-07
Comment: This looks like a nice unit, but in Amazon's description, it says it comes with abrasive material. As noted in another's review, IT DOES NOT!!!!!!! Once again, Amazon is wrong in their description, and just plain doesn't care or desire to fix it.

Summary: Small Job Sandblaster 2006-11-11
Comment: Needed this blaster to remove rust spots from my truck. Although initially I thought the blaster was a little weak, I was wrong. It chewed thru the rust and paint right down to bare metal in seconds. I even removes deeply pitted rust. Lightweight, easy to operate, easy to store...make sure you have the right safety equipment on.

Comment: I think the product and shipping were great. I only would like to know where I can buy replacement nozzles for it at? The manual says to contact the supplier! Stush

Summary: Handy little Handi-Sander 2005-09-17
Comment: I was pretty darn impressed with the little sander.
I made the purchase to etch into "Pyrex" dishware and the sander was able to make quick work of that. It was easy to use and set up on the compressor. Everything was pretty self explanatory even for those without experience using sand blasters. Great novice tool. Anyone who can use a garden hose can do this.
I agree that other tips would be nice to have available. Sand control became weak after a while using the first tip I had. After a large amount of usage I had to take it apart to clean all of the flying abrasive out of the mechanics so that the thing wouldn't jam itself open and keep spewing sand all over. Now this was after 50 dishes so that was a good long while.
I decided to fashion my own blasting box, for smaller items, out of a cardboard box. I was then able to re-use my abrasives after screening it.
Set I purchased, with Amazon, DID NOT come with abrasive included and the shipping to Alaska made it a price gouger. For the over-all price I got exactly what I expected and am pleased with the product.

Summary: Good for smal items 2005-09-02
Comment: The Handi-Blaster is good for small items ( threads on screws or bolts),Removing paint (not large areas ),glass etching.
Keep in mind it is not enclosed so its use generates lots of sand dust and floating debris.I started inside the garage and quickly moved outside.
Sand will run out if it is tipped on its side or inverted .
Not a problem just a note.
I have ordered new tips as the steel does not last long.
Ceramic tip availability would be nice.
