Summary: Not what I expected 2006-04-05
Comment: The construction of this item leaves something to be desired. The workmanship on the basket is average at best. The "liner" is plastic and designed so that water cannot drip through. However, the metal chain holding the basket is somewhat flimsy and immediately made me suspicious of its being able to support the weight of dirt/live plants/watering, which is why I bought this item in the first place. As a result, I chose to put artificial plants in the baskets instead. In addition, the chain is fairly short, so in hanging them from my patio rafters, I was pretty much forced to add a decorative hanger for additional length. The overall effect with the artificial flowers is nice, but I had wanted to be able to plant in them, which is why if I had this to do over, I wouldn't. Also, I wouldn't recommend paying more than the $7.99 (plus free shipping and no tax).
