Product Description

Take care of your lawn while you take care of yourself. The LUV Cart Power-Driven Lawn Utility Vehicle features a 12V battery, so all you have to do is push the control paddle and steer—minimizing back strain and joint pain. With no gas or fumes, the environmentally friendly LUV moves forward at 2 mph, can be operated with 1 hand and has a self-balancing design that makes tilting and dumping a breeze. This heavy-duty unit has rugged wide-tread wheels that provide superior all-terrain traction, and the durable polypropylene bucket hauls loads of 200 lbs. or more. The robust 22amp battery delivers multiple hours of continuous run time, and it's easily recharged via any standard household outlet (battery and recharger included). All-weather materials resist rust and corrosion so you can use the LUV in rain or shine, and it stores easily tilted on one end, taking up less space than most wheelbarrows. 35-1/2Hx26Wx48D".

Comment: I love my LUV cart. It handles a heavy load and can travel through thick grass. I filled it with sand (200 lbs) and ran the full cart across grass without a problem. It is fairly easy to tip forward to dump its contents. I'm almost 50 and I'm in need of equipment that can do the "heavy" work for me. I paid $250 for my cart a year ago, a price that was more in-line with my budget. It was a very good buy for me.

Summary: Luv Cart does more than your regular wheelbarrow! 2005-07-12
Comment: When the parts first arrived we couldn't get the tub to go together. We called the manufacturer and they went above and beyond to get us what we needed to assemble our new Luv Cart! I just completed a major landscaping renovation and needed to move bushes that weighed over 50 lbs. I don't think it would have been possible without using this great product. We also spread over 12 yards of mulch and got it done in record time since the only muscle we needed was getting the mulch into the wagon. Our professional landscaper invested in two after using ours. Makes gardening even more fun!!!

Summary: Hate Luv-Cart 2005-06-27
Comment: The Luv-Cart is without a doubt the most useless piece of equipment I ever purchased. Aside from assembly which is not difficult once you are able to spring the two halfs together, the thing simply will not operate on grass without pushing it with great force and much slower than a wheelbarrow and don't even think about going up a very slight grade - empty! If you are tempted to buy this under-powered piece of junk - run away - fast!

Summary: Ambivalent / dissatisfied 2005-06-12
Comment: I bought the original version last year (Model 45000) of the LUV, the only one available at that time. It was $300. I'm an over-sixty gal -- tough, but breakable under the worst circumstances! After an hour into reading the user manual and package label ("Easy to Assemble - Minimal Tools - Minimal Effort") and attempting to separate and organize the various and sundry unrecognizable parts and bags of hardware, I threw up my hands and shouted, "You've got to be kidding!!!" The main body of the wheelbarrow, separated into two parts, are physically impossible to connect. If you have any joint problems or other physical infirmities, try to rope a muscular guy or auto mechanic into figuring out how to put this wonder together. If the JC Penney catalog says its Over-the-Toilet Etageres" are preferably a "two-person assembly" task, this clunker is such a task without any doubt.

Amazon.com's "negative" customer reviews are far more credible than the positive ones. I would not buy it again knowing now what I would be in for, for the following reasons: It is made by a company of two employees (both principals). The disparity of reviews shows that there can be a great difference between two identically-designed units. In the manufacturer's so-called "testing" process, the only "tester" they could name was a member of their immediate family. Quality control is badly lacking.

Because the power-assisted mode is only for the "forward" direction, when I needed to make a 45-degree turn with an average load, one of the front tires would invariably pop out of its rim; the short stem made it impossible to reinflate with my compressor, so I had to keep removing the tire and driving it to the auto shop. Also, the user manual said the back tire was not inflatable, and it was only after repeated inquiries to the company that I was told the manual was in error; no customers were notified. The cart NEVER maintained a charge over an entire day's use, carrying even half the maximum load. It constantly needs to be recharged, just like some stick vacuum cleaners.

The machine, while excellent in "concept," is fickle and unreliable. The only "repair" under the warranty is to have a replacement component mailed from back East, and you try putting it in yourself. No major home-improvement store here on the West Coast carries it (Home Depot, Lowe's, OSH, MLS), so there has been no mass-testing of the product. So in my view it remains an experiment at the buyer's expense.

Summary: Stay away 2005-05-22
Comment: I bought a cart form Amazon in May 2005. It was relatively eazy to assemble, but proved to be completely useless. Reverse function did not work at all, it would not move on a grassy surface and even a slight slope was impossible to overcome without heavy pushing! (So much for Motorized Vehicle).

I would like to credit Amazon for allowing me to return this garbage free of charge.
