Amazon.com Review
A great tool for the resource-wise, Melnor's three-cycle electronic timer regulates watering so that your time, money, and water are better spent. Designed for use with low-pressure drip or soaker hoses, the timer offers hourly settings (once every 8, 12, or 24 hours) or daily settings (once every two, three, or seven days). Programming on the tool is simple--a combination of lighted prompts and a dial with tangible clicks. The unit runs on a 9-volt battery that lasts a full watering season with average use. A gentle shutoff mechanism keeps pipes from banging, while a battery-indicator triggers a flashing light when power's low. Ideal for daily use, the timer's also great for keeping the garden green while you travel. --Emily Bedard

Summary: BAD TIMER 2008-10-07
Comment: I've purchased two of these timers and both retained water and stopped working within two months.

Summary: Does not shut off 2008-10-02
Comment: Waste of money, just like all Menlor products. I've bought 5 different Menlor/Vigoro timers and all 5 have failed within 2 years. I'm the fool for buying them, but I won't anymore. It's convenient to get them from Home Depot, but I'll never make that mistake again. This particular model failed right out of the package. The on/off switch would not shut off.

Summary: Will last 4 to 6 months 2008-09-13
Comment: These timers were installed 5 areas to be used for drip system and soaker hoses. It has been about a year and all timers have been replaced at a minimum of 2 times. We did some landscape work and these timers where covered under the warranty, so I didn't have to keep replacing them. However, now the warranty is over and 2 replaced timers failed couple of weeks ago. I will be buying a different product and replace all the timers to keep avoiding the fustration.

Summary: Piece of Junk 2008-09-02
Comment: I purchased a couple of Melnor timers and they both stopped working after one summer. Don't waste your money on this manufacturer's junk.
