Day-of-week in one of 3 languages - English, French, Spanish Alarm - Crescendo Battery Type - 2 AAA Amazon.com Review
This versatile system forecasts local weather; automatically sets and updates the time, day, and date; keeps track of the indoor temperature; and employs a remote, wireless sensor to record the outdoor temperature up to 100 feet away. For forecasting weather within 12 to 24 hours, the 6-1/4-by-4-1/4-inch monitor employs a built-in electronic barometric-pressure sensor and then displays the upcoming weather with an icon (sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rain/snow) on its backlit LCD screen. For keeping track of time, the monitor is equipped with a radio receiver tuned to the U.S. atomic clock; this enables the monitor to maintain split-second accuracy by automatically adjusting, if necessary, to the atomic clock's signals six times every 24 hours. From those signals, the monitor also displays the date, the day, and the time zone for which the user has set the clock. Also, the clock automatically adjusts for daylight saving time and for leap year. The monitor beams the time and the outdoor temperature onto a wall or ceiling in large, red numerals for easy readability. If the monitor is in battery-mode (four AA batteries included), pressing the clock's snooze bar will beam the data for five seconds. If the monitor is plugged into a wall socket with an AC adapter (included), the projection will be available either for five seconds with the snooze bar or continuously if a continuous-beam control is set. The projection beam comes from a device mounted next to the clock. The device pivots so the beam can be projected onto any surface, and a dial focuses the beam for clarity. You can also choose to have the temperature displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. --Fred Brack

Summary: Oregon Projection Clock 2008-05-15
Comment: I have had one of these clocks for 7 years and one day it finally needed to be replaced. I had become so use to the conviences of this clock (time, temp - inside and outside) that I set out to find another one. Dealing with Amazon.Com is always a good experience. The clock was shipped immediately and delivered quickly. The Oregon Scientific Projection Clock is the only projection clock I would ever want to own. It is easy to use and always dependable.

Summary: Solid clock - our first one served us well for 5 years 2008-04-29
Comment: We bought this clock about 5 years ago and we liked it because: soft red light is bright enough to see on the wall but not too bright as to be obnoxious. The time and temperature both show up so you know how cold or warm it is in the morning without having to open a window, check the computer or turn on the news. The display rotates so it works against whatever ceiling or wall that you want to view it on; the weather sensor is small and needs a new battery maybe every 18 months, not too bad at all. We don't mount the sensor, we simply put on a window sill, on a north window (away from sun for greater accuracy) and it sits between the window and the screen....wet weather does not harm it. We are buying a new one now because the projector stopped working. We think it is because the clock got knocked off the table one too many times! Good product (and yes - keeps good time!)

Summary: Very please with this unit!!! 2008-04-12
Comment: I had a previous model by another manufacture that has been discontinued. This model works as good or better so far as my former model.
Very good projection on the ceiling and within 2 degrees of my other thermometers. Over all I am very pleased with this unit. Time will tell about how well it is made and if it continues to be accurate . As of this time I will have to rate 5 stars because it performs as advertised!
