Summary: Works very well 2008-08-27
Comment: We live in a very woodsy area and have a problem with scorpions during the summer months. Some of our neighbors who have a similar problem advised us to just hire an exterminator, but we decided to give this a try first, since it is cheaper. It works very well. My husband sprays down the outside of the house with it every 2 months during the warm weather, and during that time, we see NO scorpions. If we go three months without spraying it we do start to see the scorpions again, but as long as we keep it up every few months we don't have a problem.
My dog recently brought fleas into our house, and after trying bug bombs to no avail, we thought we'd try spraying this inside the house to see if it would help since it does so well against other bugs. We still have fleas, unfortunately, but I can see that their numbers have drastically decreased since we sprayed. And this stuff does not have a horrible, lingering odor like the bug bombs do. We have decided to spray it again in a week or two, and after that as long as the flea problem hasn't worsened, we may be rid of them.
I would advise trying this stuff before you hire an exterminator. It will likely save you a lot of money!

Summary: Might as well be water 2008-06-20
Comment: I purchased this product because my building has roaches. I am in the process of looking for another apt but in the meantime I wanted to get rid of them. I've tried everything, bombs, raid, gel, baits, sealing up my apt cracks and they are gone for a week and then I see another one. So I thought this product was going to actually do the job. I sprayed all around the baseboards, behind appliances everywhere. Didnt see a roach for about 3 days and then there was one again. I sprayed this a month ago and I have seen the same amount of roaches as there were before. I sprayed the house down again and still no results. Maybe this works on problems such as ants or other bugs but roaches have got to be the hardest thing to get rid of and this didn't work AT ALL and I don't even have a large infestation.

Summary: Ortho Kills Bugs For An Entire Year 2007-04-22
Comment: Many people have problems with insects in their homes every year. Sometimes flies come into their kitchens and land on their food. Flies can live for days inside your home if you don't know how to kill them. Most people simply zap them with a can of Raid. Raid is a temporary solution to the problem. You have to use Ortho Home Defense if you want a long-term solution. You should spray all of the carpet in your home with Ortho Home Defense every year. You can spray your walls too, but that's not necessary. Ortho Home Defense lasts an entire year, and it's much better than bug bombs that spray chemicals into the air. Bug bombs are not very effective, and some of them can cause your house to stink. Insects usually return after three or four months if you use bug bombs. I think it's important to use Ortho Home Defense every year because of insects like cockroaches, flies, and spiders. There are also tiny bugs that you don't really notice. Lice and mites can sneak into your home and live with you for months. Keeping your house clean is always a good idea, but that won't prevent insects from living with you.
