Comment: Effective weed burning for my purposes, more convenient than previous versions which required a match to light. Mine arrived with long pipe slightly bent, probably in storage, not shipping. Working is unaffected.

Summary: small flame...for small jobs only 2008-09-15
Comment: This is for the homeowner who has more of a small nuisance weed problem, IE: weeds/grass between walkways, some in driveways....etc. If you have large weeds & weedy areas, definitely step it up w/ the Weed Dragon.
Although easy to use & handle, and ignitor is convenient, it didn't quite do the job I expected.

Comment: I purchased this outdoor torch to help with my blackberry problem in some land I had cleared this summer without resorting to chemicals. The "cane" handle and igniter work well and make it very easy to use, but it did not remove any of the young blackberry plants. Steamed or burned the leaves and stocks but they grew back shortly.

Comment: Just once in a while, a product far exceeds expectations. For twenty years I owned and treasured a kerosene torch which was very effective, but heavy and complicated to use.. It finally quit and I purchased this Benzomatic product.Some weed torches operate from a large propane tank which is awkward. This item uses the small Coleman type tank, easily attached, has an igniter and is lightweight. Like carrying a cane. Ideal for cleaning up weeds in my crushed rock drive, or garden, or rockery, or brick patio, particularly killed or dry weeds or grass.. I couldn't be more pleased.
