Oxford Garden Design's decorative 39-1/2-pound umbrella base, made of black powder-coated steel, will resist rust for years to come. The round, heavy stand definitely does its job while being threaded upright with two pole fasteners. You can insert umbrella poles up to 1-3/4 inches in diameter. The stand itself is 18 inches in diameter and 13 inches high, which includes the part of the stand that holds the pole and keeps it in place. The edge of this stand has a slightly raised lip, but it's not enough to collect rain or dirt; the inside features an intricate, classic leaf motif that will complement any patio style or garden décor.
