Customer Rating: Summary: CUTTING wedge NOT spliting. 2007-08-25 Comment: The previous reviewer made a common mistake assuming a cutting wedge for felling and bucking (which this product is) can be used as a log splitting wedge (which this isn't). No sawyer uses steel wedges for felling or bucking trees. This is because if the chainsaw strikes a steel wedge it will damage the saw and possibly cause an unsafe kickback. Plastic wedges don't damage the saw, don't cause kickbacks and can be 're-sharpened' if accidentally struck by the saw.

Customer Rating: Summary: misleading 2007-02-14 Comment: this was not described as a plastic wedge. What I was charged for shipping indicated to me that It was steel. I was totally dissatisfied!
