The compact unit--which hangs on virtually any wall from its built-in hanger hole--features a durable round plastic case that holds up to rain, snow, and scorching sun. More significantly, it measures the temperature from -30 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (with a minimal +/- 2 degree margin of error), helping you instantly gauge whether to bring the plants indoors during a cold spell or put on some shorts before taking a stroll. The hygrometer scale, meanwhile, measures the relative humidity between 10 percent and 90 percent. Summary: Not worth even the small price 2008-04-11
Comment: The thermometer works well enough but the humidistat is totally off. Measures a constant 75 regardless of what my other instruments or humidifier measure (usually around 40). Don't waste your money on this one.

Summary: Piece of junk 2008-01-27
Comment: I tacked this item onto an order for the Honeywell TM005X Wireless Thermo-Hygrometer (very good product, works well, easy to read) as it was only five bucks and took my order over the $25 mark to qualify for free shipping. As noted in a couple of other reviews on this site, the hygrometer needle never moved off of about 70%. I sent it to Timex (?) or Maverick Industries, whoever they are, for replacement. The second one was no better, in fact the hygrometer needle fell off its pivot. Save your money.
