Summary: Ever wonder why.... 2010-03-19
Comment: ...why NO one EVER, states in their review of other grills "I previously owned a Weber"?!?? Its because once you've owned a Weber grill, you realize that its the BEST money you ever spent for a grill. Yes, they DO cost more, but I just replaced mine after 14 wonderful years (I actually feel a bit guilty, as I've seen people keep them for 20+ years!!) mostly because I use it too much (nearly every day in sunny FL.) to take the time to refresh it (although, I probably will now that I've got a new one). None-the-less, spend the extra $$ if you can, if you take care of it (buy a cover, but NOT the "vented" Weber premium cover), you will more than make up for it by not having to replace your grill every 3 years!!! Weber owners are not snobs who just have extra bucks to spend (there are actually much more expensive grills than the Genesis, and Summit) It's simply because, its a decision you'll never regret! well...unless of-course, the wife gets it in the divorce...Consumer Reports has rated the Genesis best (not CR "best buy") for a reason, they are just GREAT grills!!

Summary: Quality was apparent when I put the grill together... 2010-02-08
Comment: I just put together my Webber Genesis grill today and ate some Steel Head Trout I grilled on it. It was obvious when I was putting it together that is was built better than the last 4 grills I have owned in the past 8 years. This is the first time in years that I was able to use the lower rack. I have had to use the upper rack on my last grills to avoid burning the food. After dinner I wondered where the grill was made. To my delight and pride, it was made in America! Had I known that from the start, I would have not deliberated about which brand to purchase. Webber was more expensive, but if keeping American jobs in America means paying more for a higher quality product, I am fine with the price. I think it will be cheaper than trashing the cheap Chinese made grills I go through every couple of years. I would definitely recommend this grill.

Summary: Worthless 2009-11-16
Comment: This is the worst investment I've made in years. I've had three fires in it. The inside top is peeling. The flavorizer bars rusted almost immediately. The cast iron bars are hard to clean and are rusting. I've kept this grill clean and covered. I am so disappointed.

Summary: Weber Genesis E-310 --- Initial impression; WOW!!! 2009-11-10
Comment: I just purchased this grill a couple of weeks ago and so far; all I can say is WOW!!! I researched this grill for about a month (from Amazon, [...], etc.) before purchasing this grill all reviews were phenomenal. Anyway, I love this grill! First off I want to talk about the assembly. Many reviews indicated that it is somewhat of a frustrating task; complex instructions being the main gripe. I found this to be quite the contrary. I really enjoyed assembling this grill; in fact, I specifically chose not to have the store (Home Depot) assemble it. The instructions are quite easy to follow as long as you take your time and examine all the pieces, fasteners, and directions with patience and attention. I can't begin to express how impressed I was with the assembly. I could clearly see that great engineering went to into this from Weber's part. Every part seemed to fit together perfectly. I have assembled alot of things (from baby cribs, ride on toys, RC vehicles, etc) and nothing has been well engineered as this Weber grill. After the assembly was finished I just sat in awe, with a great sense of pride, looking at the grill. It just looks stunning!

Then came the initial connection to the LP tank and first fire. Perfect!!! Fired immediately after turning on Control Knob 1 and pressing the ignitor; followed by activating the other two burners. The temp quickly began soring reaching 500 degrees in just 10 minutes and 600 in 20 minutes. Controls are precise on this grill and will take a little getting used to on my part. I'm definitely not used to a grill of this caliber and definitely not used to a grill that gets as hot as this one.

First grill was a huge success and pleasure; ribeyes. A couple more grillings and I will have this thing perfected, but I quickly realized how easy this grill makes grilling great food.

I am now a devoted Weber fanatic. This grill just makes grilling fun. I was tired of in inconsistencies of grilling I've had in the past from cheaper grills. In four years I have gone through 2 grills. I decided to spend the extra money and get something that is going to last, but I also found that the extra money made the job of cooking a lot easier. This is truly a great investment and one that should last a long time (just check out the weber warranty).

Anyway this is my little review of the Weber Genesis E-310; and all I can say is WOW!!!

Summary: A general view of the Genesis grills 2009-11-10
Comment: All of the Weber Genesis grills are engineering marvels.

Often people will say cheaper brands will have better materials or features. But in the end, the Weber Genesis will have even heat everywhere on the grate. It will heat up to over 600F and will maintain much of that heat when opened. All of the parts are made from quality materials and the design is perfected. If people say a cheaper grill is better, they probably are not willing to pay the premium for quality. The Weber will cook your food properly and will last many years.

Here is some info on the different Weber Genesis models

E - no stainless steel
EP - stainless steel grates and flavorizor bars
S - Stainless Steel top, sides, grates and flavorizor bars
310 - no side burner
320 - side burner
