Summary: So Far - Perfect!! 2010-03-14
Comment: Bought this to replace an ancient Charmglow. The Charmglow was so light-weight it constantly blew over in even a moderate wind - finally causing irreparable harm. So, after much research, off I went to Home Depot to get the Weber. I don't grill out a whole lot but often enough to want something more substantial than another lightweight, cheap grill. The Weber fits that requirement. Two guys from Home Depot loaded the box into my SUV where it sat for a day - the box was too heavy for me to get out by myself. A friend came over and it took us a little over an hour to assemble. Out on the patio, we very easily fired it up to burn off the 'newness'. It heated up very quickly and within a half an hour we had our steaks cooking. Once the steaks were done, we shut it down and had a very good meal. After one use, below are my thoughts:

PROS:
Heated evenly
Assembly effort and time not too bad
Heavy (can't imagine anything but a hurricane will blow this one over!)
Well-made - everything fit together easily and as illustrated
Very well packed in the box
Clean-up after use was easy
Perfect quantity of screws and washers
Hardware was packaged with the appropriate part
Thermometer built in to the lid to eliminate guessing
Two burners are perfect for those not feeding a hoard of folks
Not much bigger than the deceased Charmglow - meaning the footprint is small enough to not take over the patio
4 wheeels (2 front one lock) - very easy to reposition

CONS
This thing is very heavy
The box is huge
The instructions should have shown that the little, black plastic, wing nut thingy was a tool not a left-over part.
Personally, I would rather have the controls on the front to free up the table part on the right side

Summary: love this griil 2010-03-07
Comment: I love this grill. It not that big which is good for a family of 5. But we use it 4 or 5 times a week now. But in the summer when it 100 degrees out we will prob use it more, so we dont have to turn on the oven or stove. My wife does keep telling me that i payed for the weber name , but i love it. Only because if you want a bigger grill without the name it will prob be cheaper. I got the cover and extra drip pans which are both a must. It prob took me about 2 hours to put it together and it was really easy. I recommend this grill.

Summary: 10 years going strong 2010-02-07
Comment: I have a weber grill, the Silver A, which has the same specs as this grill with two burners and the same body. So I will comment on the durability. I've had mine almost ten years now. I have abused mine like letting it sit out in the rain without a cover or ignoring grease fires while watching TV. It continues to produce the most delicious burgers, steaks, chicken and salmon you have ever tasted. I don't think my grill is ever going to die. It turned out to be a great investment.

Summary: LOW END -- CHINESE -- ILL FITTING PARTS 2010-02-01
Comment: Having owned Weber gas grills for ofver 20 years, I know a little about them. the spirit line is now imported. Assembling it was a miserable three HOURS of hell. Ill fitting parts, terrible directions. One door was warped. Cheesy plastic chromey thing surrounding the ignitor broke.
This is planned as a temporary step, until I get a Genesis line unit, which AFAIK still made here.

Save up and get a better grill.

Comment: This grill was easy to put together, about an hour and a half done well. Very solid, not cheap, even burn, good grates ( if you buy from home depot ). Highly recommended. . .

* you can buy this here from amazon and get the cheap grill grates ( and no sales tax ), then buy the good cast iron grates from home depot for [...]
