These silver chimes play medieval alto notes inspired by the Gregorian chants of Europe. Company founder Garry Kvistad has developed an advanced method of tuning used on every Woodstock chime: each tube is analyzed digitally with a microphone under the tube measuring the frequency, and cutters are instructed to remove just the right amount of material to produce the most precise tuning possible. The result is a purer, more harmonious sound. All Woodstock wind chimes are made in the USA from nonendangered hardwoods treated to endure season after season of outdoor use. Comment: tone is really nice. if you hate clangy chimes, you won't hate this one. sounds so nice, you wonder where the wind is, so you can hear it more often.

Summary: Woodstock Chimes are Fabulous! 2008-06-09
Comment: I absolutely love this chime. I enjoy the deeper sounds as opposed to the high pitched tinkling sounds. I though a chime would drive me batty while we were outside in the pool, but this is so soothing with such a clear relaxing sound. We also have the Woodstock Bamboo chime outside with this one and I enjoy the combined sounds. Even my twelve year old commented that it sounds like a song.

Comment: i purchased these chimes because of the excellent reviews. i am just amazed at the melodies of these chimes...i can hear them thru my patio door and am enjoying them every day. i will definitely purchase them as gifts in the future.

Comment: I've had these for about 6 months and have yet to tire of the beautiful sound. I just sent some to a friend who is also very happy with them. I will probably be ordering some for my sister soon as well.
