Product Description
Create a cathedral of music under a haven of stars with this resonant Gregorian Soprano Chime. Tuned to a medieval scale that calls to mind the vocal music of a gothic era, the chime has 8 tubes for an exceptionally rich sound. Part of a Gregorian Chime series, the soprano chime harmonizes beautifully with others including the Gregorian Alto Chime and Gregorian Tenor Chime (each sold separately). Get all 3 for a truly moving musical experience. Made of elegant cherry wood and silver-color aluminum tubes. Imported. 18L". Amazon.com Review
The sounds of nature are sweet, but the music of chirping birds, chattering squirrels, and rustling leaves is even sweeter when accompanied by Woodstock's Gregorian soprano computer-tuned wind chimes. These silver chimes play medieval soprano notes inspired by the Gregorian chants of Europe. Company founder Garry Kvistad has developed an advanced method of tuning used on every Woodstock chime: each tube is analyzed digitally with a microphone under the tube measuring the frequency, and cutters are instructed to remove just the right amount of material to produce the most precise tuning possible. The result is a purer, more harmonious sound. All Woodstock wind chimes are made in the USA from nonendangered hardwoods treated to endure season after season of outdoor use. Woodstock prides itself on being a socially responsible company, explaining that "through the sale of our chimes we proudly support the arts, as well as many environmental and humanitarian causes." Add a hint of Gregorian mystery to your yard or garden while contributing to the harmony of the earth. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

Summary: Beautiful Sound! 2008-09-05
Comment: Woodstock Percussion GSS Gregorian Soprano Chime, Silver
This wind chime is small, but has a beautiful, soothing sound. I love it and will probably order another. There is nothing irritating about it like some of the larger chimes.

Summary: Lovely sound yet smaller. 2008-03-12
Comment: This set is lovely and well made, however I wish there had been a picture that had given me an idea of the scale as I would have bought a larger set.

Summary: Beautiful! 2007-08-02
Comment: This has 8 tubes/chimes, rather than the usual 6, and you can tell the difference! In addition, I got the Gregorian Alto Chime (at another site), which also has 8 chimes. When the two windchimes play together . . . Heaven!
