Salmon Spread was our original spread and is still the most popular of all our spreads. The finest salmon from the cold waters of Alaska are used to create this delicious and versatile product. Salmon Spread is a combination of salmon and cream cheese providing a light and fluffy, easy-to-serve spread. It contains large amounts of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, fantastic cholesterol-lowering fats that are found in abundance in Pacific Salmon. Today you can find Salmon Oil pills in your natural foods store but with our spreads the benefits of salmon oil are built in naturally. All of our spreads are blended with cream cheese and spices before they are heat-processed to a temperature of 246 degrees F. Once the spread is mixed at our plant it is placed in a can, sealing in the flavor with a peel-back lid for ease of serving. The product is shelf stable until opened. After opening you can keep it in the refrigerator to enjoy over the next couple of days. Our process allows for a very delicate product that can be spread onto the most dainty of crackers or breads. Quick and easy preparation means simply opening the package and placing the spread on a serving platter. This terrific snack or appetizer can be served with sweet red onions and capers on crackers or bread. Summary: Cat food 2006-01-09
Comment: I love salmon spread. I buy it here in MA, but thought it would be better from Alaska. I ordered this item because I just returned from Alaska and had the best salmon and salmon spread there. I ordered this item hoping that it would be fantastic because Alaska is known for its salmon. I was VERY disappointed. It tasted and smelled like cat food! I did write to the company, but have yet to receive a response.
