Comment: While I much prefer the hotter, spicier version of this vegetarian chili, Amy's packs enough flavor and healthy ingredients to make this a very enjoyable dish. For some wondrous reason--perhaps the organic, high quality ingredients and the related lack of strange sounding additives, this really doesn't taste like canned food. If you want to keep it medium-spicy but add some additional flavors and textures, add some chopped onions, and some grated cheese (either regular cheddar or the delicious new soy substitutes--really!).
Those who want to take a walk on the wild size can boost the firepower with (take your pick) fresh chilis, chili powder, cumin, garlic, tabasco or a similar hot sauce, fresh salsa, or extra salsa you "acquired" on your last trip to the taco stand. (Sorry, "taqueria" may be more authentic, but if you don's speak Spanish, it's just too yupped out for me.) And if you're not vegetarian, but just have your own reasons for buying this (I don't have to know), go ahead and add some beef when no one's around. I'm not advocating this subterfuge, but a real chili eater's gonna do what he or she wants. Bottom line: This is a tasty, quickly made, quality product that can be eaten straight from the microwave (put it in a bowl first!), or augmented with your personal touch.
