On a scorching summer day there's nothing like sweet shaved ice to take away the heat. Deni makes a variety of Snow Factory ice shavers and ice cream makers, and for flavoring those snow cones or icy treats makes three flavors of syrup: cherry, blue raspberry, and grape. Each 25.4-ounce bottle contains enough syrup to sweeten two dozen servings (a typical serving is one ounce of syrup to six ounces of shaved ice). The syrup can also be enjoyed in cocktails or on ice cream and other desserts, and because it comes in a plastic bottle with a screw top, can be safely carried along on picnics. Ingredients include cane sugar, water, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (to preserve flavor quality), and artificial color (FD&C Red #40).--Ann Bieri
