Summary: The best tea I know 2008-04-13
Comment: Market Spice Tea is blended in the Market Spice shop at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. Back behind the famous fish-throwing guys is the small shop that not only will sell you almost every herb or spice you can imagine, but blends the tastiest tea I've ever had.
Market Spice tea is made with black tea, and contains essential oils of cinnamon and orange. The result is a delightful tea that is naturally sweet without the use of sugar or artificial sweeteners.
In Seattle, the tea is widely available, sold in many of the grocery stores. Not so available to me since I moved across the country. I'm happy to be able to order it online here at Amazon.com.

Comment: Great tea, drink it every day. It even smells wonderful. Why can't I buy it in England?

Summary: Tasty and fragrant 2008-03-12
Comment: I order this tea for my husband who has been all but addicted to it for years. It is strong, black, slightly sweet tea with tasty and fragrant oils added. Delivery always takes a week to 10 days even if I order it directly from Market Spice. We discovered it at Pike's Place Market about 30 years ago and have been buying it ever since.

Summary: Good but not great 2008-03-07
Comment: I was a big fan of Gladies Maries' Marketspice Tea. This one is a good tea, but it doesn't come close to the full flavor that I remember from Gladies Maries (sp).

Summary: Warm, delicious and long lasting! 2008-03-04
Comment: Market Spice Tea is my favorite tea. Each sip is smooth and sparkly, invigorating and contemplative. It floats across your tongue and then kicks each taste bud into attention. A simplified description is a highly caffeinated smooth black tea with cinnamon and orange spices. It is important to keep this tea in glass jar to keep fresh. I recommend 3 spoons to 4 cups of water and steep for 3-4 minutes only.
This tea gives you a smooth "high" that is just as strong but longer lasting than coffee. So if you are sensitive to caffeine, limit your intake in the evening. It's perfect for sharing with friends (which is what I do with the 1 lb. bags).
