Summary: Pure vanilla extract from JR Mushrooms & Specialties 2008-02-19
Comment: Once you have tasted this pure vanilla extract you will hate to go back to the ordinary vanilla from your grocery store. Because this is superior quality PURE vanilla extract you will generally need to use less of it than most recipes call for.
If you make your own yogurt, for example, and prefer vanilla flavor, a scant quarter of a teaspoon of this vanilla plus a teaspoon or less of good quality honey stirred into a six- or eight-ounce container will more than satisfy your taste buds.
The point is, quality products make the difference. And since one uses less of it in our recipes, this vanilla extract lasts longer than the cheaper brands.
I have also found the service from JR Mushrooms & Specialties, the company that sells this particular brand of vanilla extract, to be superior. It has been my experience that they ship the well-wrapped items to the customer very, very quickly.
