Comment: candy came fast but was not what was pictured. It was the new variety with mango and pineapple, NO lime or red apple things. bummer

Summary: Tangy but fruity 2005-08-14
Comment: Fruit flavored and fruit shaped mix, in a movie concession box. You get just one 7 ounce box in this deal. Maybe this is how the wallpaper in the original "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" would have tasted, after all it is made by the Willy Wonka company. The fruit shapes are fun although they are small enough to look just like lumps for some flavors, but you can't miss the banana shaped one. The flavors taste a bit like the flavor they represnt, but are tart and tangy. Almost lke a sweet tart with a crunchy candy exterior. The flavors are banana, cherry, lime, orange, and strawberry. I agree with the other reviewer that runts can rough up your tongue and roof of mouth if you eat too many at a time.

Summary: Trade ya my strawberries for your bananas... 2004-04-06
Comment: Before I drastically cut back my sugar intake some time ago, Wonka?'s fruit-shaped Runts? candy was one of my biggest addictions. I was poppin' these bad-boys faster than Rush Limbaugh poppin' Oxycontin, especially the banana-shaped and-flavored ones, which didn't have the tartness the other flavors (cherry, lime, strawberry, orange) possessed (BTW I wouldn't exactly call these "shockingly tart" like the item page's editorial review states, but they do have a pretty good kick). I didn't much care for taste of the strawberry candies; whenever I got a box or bag of Runts, I'd separate the strawberries from the rest of the pile, and hand the little pink beasties over to a fellow Runts addict. The best thing is, this fellow Runts addict didn't much care for the banana flavored candies (my favorites!), and he'd separate them out of his stockpile and hand `em over to me! It was a sad day when he moved away a couple years back, lemme tells ya...Fair warning: be sure not to consume too many Runts in one sitting, `cuz the inside of your mouth and tongue's will end up feelin' like someone took a sheet of sandpaper to it if ya do. Trust me on this one-- I've inhaled enough five-pound bulk bags of these bad boys in one shot to know what I'm talkin' about. #ell, I've still got flaps of loose skin hangin' from the roof of my mouth that were sloughed off from my last Runts binge! `Late
