The box chain is discovery and destiny—a moon-lit road or the beam of a train engine, always moving. The square links are even-tempered rather than eccentric, a patchwork of promises. The articulation provides light-loving angles and fluid movement. This chain is a graceful accessory by itself, or perfect with a pendant. The chain is 14k Italian white gold, .85 MM thick and 18 inches long. Pure gold is too soft and malleable for jewelry so it is mixed with alloys to add strength and durability. Gold becomes white when alloyed with nickel, copper and zinc. Yellow gold is alloyed with silver, copper and zinc. The clasp is a lobster claw clasp which is easy to manipulate and very secure.

Comment: i bought this chain a year ago to wear with a diamond pendant my husband bought me for Christmas. I've worn it almost every day since and I love it! It's a very strong chain but it still looks very delicate.

Comment: This is an excellent white gold chain...especially at this price. I wasn't able to find a chain of this quality anywhere for less than $175. It is very shiny, well weighted and very well made. Perfect to wear alone or for those precious pendants. The lobster clasp is a definite plus!

Comment: My husband bought me a diamond pendant at Christmas which came with an extremely fine chain - it looked too frail. I have searched in all of the jewelry stores in our local mall and to purchase something of this quality in white gold, I would have needed to spend nearly as much as the pendant cost! I suspected that this one might also be too fine because of the great price, but couldn't believe it when I not only saw the quality, but realized that it had a lobster claw clasp - all of the chains in the stores had a spring ring clasp. Thanks Amazon - I will definitely purchase more jewelry from you.

Summary: Exactly What I Wanted.... 2004-09-10
Comment: A little over a week ago my house was robbed and all my jewelry was stolen. I guess I am in the process of replacing some of the essential pieces that are gone. I needed this length of chain and it is perfect for pendants. It is light and beautiful. The chain is narrow enough to slip most bales over or to wear alone. It is light and it doesn't weigh down your neck. The box link is also one of the strongest links that you can buy. I bought this length because it is perfect for summer and in the winter when I am wearing longer chains, I can triple this length and wear it around my wrist as a bracelet.
