Summary: Very pretty and sparkly 2008-11-18
Comment: The earrings turned out to be better than I expected. They shine mostly purple and blue colors and really pick up the light. They are just slightly over 3/4 of an inch long from top to bottom. The crystals are 9/16 inch square with long "emerald-cut" type facets.

The backs of the crystals are plain silver, sort of like a mirror. I don't know what this material is on the back (sterling foil? silver leaf? paint?) but it must serve to reflect the light back through the crystal facets. I am thinking I should be careful with storing these, so to not scratch the backs (just in case this material is thin or fragile.) They do come in a little ziploc bag (inside a silver cardboard box with batting) so I may save the bag to store them in.

Overall they are very different and sparkly. I receive many compliments and questions ("Where did you get those?!?) every time I wear them. The matching pendant is also very pretty.
