Summary: Its the syran wrap and tape that takes 5 hours !! 2006-03-10
Comment: My table came triple wrapped and triple taped, as if to protect it from the next world war. No worries, it'll make it through!
After reading other peoples reviews, I felt I should comment, because to me, I feel they were slightly misleading. There were several comments as to the length of time involved for setting up the table, drilled holes being mismatched...etc...etc.
I swear, the hardest, and longest part of the whole job, was getting all the parts unwrapped. The rest of it went together as it should, with no hassles. I am a women with a history in the construction trade, so Im starting out with a bit of an advantage. But I think my Mom, who is an all alround "girly-girl", could have finished the job without calling on me or my brother. One warning, getting that plastic off was the most damage this table will probably ever recieve!! That aggrevated me a bit.
Over all however, I would order it again if need be. I like the style, width, height, the fact the little stools totally fit uder it and over the cross beams of the table. It was a good buy. But I DO NOT have any advice on how to get all the plastic wrap off. I finally settled on sawing it with a kitchen knife, because it was thin enough to get into the wrap, with minimum contact with the variuos pieces of wood.
