Product Description
White, Cordless Can Opener, Hands Free Operation, Walks Around Cans, Ergonomic Grip, Lightweight, Rechargeable, Opens Up To 30 Cans Per Charge, Power Pierce, Auto Off, Removable, Dishwasher Safe Blade. Amazon.com Review
This cleverly designed appliance turns the chore of opening cans into a hands-free operation that's as much fun as it is effective. The opener is cordless so it goes anywhere, eliminating the need to carry a can to a countertop or mounted electric opener. Simply clamp the opener onto any size can and let go of the soft-grip, ergonomic handle. The opener then walks around the can on its own, shutting off automatically when the can is open. It's lightweight and recharges in a compact, 3-1/2-inch-diameter storage base. Standing in the base, the opener is 8 inches high. For easy cleaning, the removable blade is dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Summary: Cool gadget 2008-09-02
Comment: I am in heaven! We have a dog that eats part canned food, love Italian food which means opening lots of canned tomatoes, and I bought a manual can opener about every 2 months since all of them stopped cutting after a short time. This opener is not only cordless (big plus, you can use it anywhere without dragging a cord through the kitchen), fast, quiet, and cuts right through the metal like butter. I also like that the attached magnet holds the lid after it is detached from the can. No more cuts on my fingers. Another plus is that you can actually clean the blade and wheel, no nasty food leftovers anymore.
Considering what a good, manual can opener costs, this is a bargain, even if the battery won't last forever as some reviewers mentioned. I will just buy a new one.

Comment: I bought this as a gift for a friend who has very limited dexterity in her hands. It is really easy for her to use and she is delighted with it. Also, it is very easy to clean, which is a big plus.

Summary: So far so good 2008-08-13
Comment: We bought this to replace our "Gizmo" can opener when the battery finally stopped accepting charges (After 4 years).
We didn't want an under-the-counter unit, so we decided to give this one a try. So far it is at least as good as the Gizmo was, but even seems easier to get lined up on the can.
We can only hope for the money that it lasts 4+ years as well.

Summary: convenient can opener 2008-07-08
Comment: This is the best can opener I could find. I had one for about 10 years by Black and Decker with a wall mounted charger/storage place. I tried to get another after it was worn out, but this is the closest I could find. I like it, but it has to sit on the counter and take up precious space. It is almost the same as the original, can go anywhere you need to open cans and it can be hands-free.
