The blades are being manufactured in Seki, Japan, while the shaping of the Amboina wood scales, assembly of the handles and the final buffing, sharpening and inspection are all being done by Boker in Solingen, Germany. All by hand. The legendary Japanese art of forging Damascus swords lives on in this blade. The VG10 in the center of the blade offers extremely high cutting performance with a 60 degrees HRC. The stainless steel Damascus layers on both sides of the blade give each its own unique appearance and character. As individual as your fingerprint. The solid stainless steel bolster adds to the sturdiness, durability and balance of the knife. With over 135 years of experience, our Boker craftsmen hand select matching Amboina burlwood pieces and hand-fit them to the full tang blade.
