Amazon.com Review
With 750 watts of power and a convenient drip method, this coffee maker provides all the basics for brewing full-flavored coffee. Its stylish, durable, glass carafe has a 4-cup capacity and is dishwasher-safe, while a built-in warming plate helps keep coffee at the right temperature for enjoying additional cups without compromising flavor. A permanent gold-screen filter is included, but depending on preference, disposable filters may be used instead. Other features include an easy-to-read water-level indicator, a swing-out filter basket with overflow protection, and a drip-stop function for pouring a cup midbrew. The unit is easy to keep clean and is designed with a convenient cord-storage compartment to keep counters tidy. The coffee maker measures 5-1/2 by 9 by 9-1/2 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty. --Catie Unger

Summary: Gone for Good?? Please, say it isn't so! 2008-03-06
Comment: It is a total bummer that Braun seems to have discontinued the 4-cup model of its Aromaster coffee maker. This little gem is the most ideal size for a kitchen with limited counter space, or for a single person household. But the main attraction is that all the Braun Aromasters, small and large, make the best "cuppa" out there. When my first 4-cup model died after years of use, I unthinkingly bought another brand of small drip maker, and yecccch, what a shocker! After spending money on yet a second replacement attempt, I found that every other small coffee maker in its category heated the water so scalding hot that all the bitterness in any brand or grind of coffee was leeched out into the final brew. The Aromasters do not heat the water so extremely hot as to make a lousy cup of electric drip coffee. So, again I cry, "Braun people, please bring it back!" If you're out there listening, thanks.

Summary: Good overall, but beware of the crafe. 2006-12-20
Comment: I own this coffee maker; as other reviewers point out, there are many very good aspects of this coffee maker (see their reviews for more details). I just want to point out that the crafe is somewhat difficult to pour from. This is the result of the pour-spout being smaller than most other coffee makers I have seen. So, if one tries to pour coffee quickly, the coffee will emmerse the sides of the crafe beyond the reach of the spout drizzling coffee onto the counter. Further, if one adds enough water to make the entire four cups of coffee, the same result occurs. The two best solutions I have found for the problem above are either make a maximum of three cups and pour very slowly or just make it a habit to pour coffee over the sink. Hope this is helpful.

Summary: Excellent Coffee Maker 2005-08-06
Comment: This was a replacement for another KF12WH Braun bought 10+ years ago. This model works as well as the one it replaced. It makes excellent coffee and has a small footprint on the countertop. The included gold filter does it's job and brews a fabulous cup of java.
Highly recommended!!!

Summary: Highly recommended 2005-03-22
Comment: Have been using this coffee maker for several months and would highly recommend it. Makes two regular sized cups of great tasting coffee. Very well designed. Filter basket is simple to remove for cleaning and very easy to access for filling. Water reservoir is also easy to access and there's a highly visible water level indicator with a red floating ball on the side of the unit. I don't use the metal mesh filter because it allows some sediment through, but it was nice they included one. Uses efficient cone shaped paper filters available anywhere.

Summary: A Powerful 4-Cup Brewer 2004-11-21
Comment: This tiny brewer packing 750 watts of power produces a tasty hot cup of coffee with filtered water and Illy's expresso fine grind. I have not tested the temperature of the water at the outlet, but the coffee in the 4-cup Aromaster carafe measures approximately 175 degrees Fahrenheit immediately after brewing. The coffee's temperature is almost the same as what you would get from a high-end semiautomatic expresso maker, see performance specifications for Expobar Office Lever Expresso Machine at http://www.wholelattelove.com/.
Another outstanding feature is the water level indicator, a floating red ball that clearly shows how much water you have in the reservoir without having to peer inside it.
Braun's 4-cup Aromaster is easy to use, easy to clean, looks good, and can brew coffee at an optimum temperature.
Update: Amazon.com no longer provides the free-shipping option on this product. That is disappointing. I'd give the Braun 10-cup coffee maker a second look.
