Something about the gurgling action of this 10-cup capacity coffeemaker produces a heady aroma that will bring all coffee lovers running with their mugs. This sleek hour-glass-shaped model comes with all the amenities: a sure-grip handle on the carafe, a pause-and-serve feature for mid-brew pouring, a push-button release for the swing-out filter basket, a removable gold-tone screen filter (or, use a No. 4 paper filter), a water-level indicator, and a 2-hour automatic shutoff. What really makes coffee from this machine taste better is the replaceable Brita water filter; it significantly reduces chlorine and prevents calcification (scale) buildup. Summary: Don't buy it - filters cost more than the coffee maker! 2008-07-09
Comment: This is my third Braun coffee maker in 20 years, which demonstrates Braun's reliability and my loyalty. HOWEVER learn from my mistake - when I purchased this unit two years ago, the filters were inexpensive. Now they are very hard to find and third party sellers are price gouging. Read the reviews on the filters and run screaming - use your own filtered water and avoid this model.
Braun + Brita = price gouging - SHAME on you both.

Comment: The coffee is hot! Just the way I like it. So far so good with this Braun unit. The only thing I'm not sure about is the cost of replacing the water filter. This machine takes up less counter space than my prior machines which is nice, too.

Comment: This coffeemaker is sturdy, practicle & very nice looking. It has a nice carafe with a good grip on the handle. We have a filtered water system so we do not need the filter. It does make a great cup of coffee without all the useless attachments.

Comment: This is the perfect coffee maker for a guy like me who needs to make 1 tall, hot, well-brewed cup of coffee to take with him on the ride in the morning. It's a GREAT item at a GREAT price - much better and hotter cup than my old Mr. Coffee Maker from Walmart. Thanks Braun; I love it.

Summary: great little coffeemaker 2008-02-09
Comment: bought this to replace my Mr. coffee which had a thermal pot. You couldn't tell how much coffee was left. The features I like are the size(doesn't take much room on the counter), the style, the two-tone color (I don't like stainless steel), easy to fill with water that is filtered, the comfortable handle, and, of course, the great tasting HOT coffee.
Highly recommended.
