Large enough to grind up to 2-1/2 ounces of coffee beans (enough for 12 cups), this powerful grinder ensures that freshly ground coffee is quickly available, even for big coffeemakers in the office. The details are what make this grinder exceptional: The lid is transparent for monitoring the grind, and has two down-pointing ribs to guide beans toward the blades for even grinding. Comment: My Braun coffee grinder finally broke after 12 years of daily use. the tray that holds the beans finally came loose after years of me grinding then hitting the side of the grinder to get the coffee off the walls of the tray. i'm ordering another one. i've never had a kitchen appliance last 12 years.

Summary: Lasts a LONG time! 2008-06-19
Comment: I got one of these in 1992 and never bought pre-ground coffee again. It's lasted more than 15 years with no problems until the very end when the plastic casing at the top of the actual blade broke away. We have coffee daily so we got a lot of use out of this grinder. And because we had such a great experience with our first one, I'm definitely ordering another to replace it for the next 15 years!
