Summary: pizza dough! 2007-10-15
Comment: I have had this breadmaker for a long time and I've not really used it to make bread but I use it to make pizza dough ALL THE TIME!! For at least pizza dough, I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what I need it to do and the dough comes out perfectly EVERY time!! Re: bread, I will write another review someday once I actually decide to make a loaf of bread. :)

Summary: I hate this bread machine. 2006-01-05
Comment: I received this bread machine as a gift from my husband. It took me over and hour to figure out how to make a loaf of bread. The manual is very confusing. I tried to call the support line 3 times, waited on hold for over 15 minutes each time and never connected with a live person that could help. I just attempted my 5th loaf of bread and it's burnt. The paddles get stuck in the bottom of the loaves every time. It makes 2 loaves, each about 6 inches long. Not enough to make lunch for a large family. I'll be packing this up and sending it back tomorrow.

Summary: Great!! 2005-09-30
Comment: This bread machine is great!! I bought this about 5 months ago and use it just about everyday!! I use the rapid cycle the most and have little problem with the ing. mixing. ( Sometimes I have to mix again) But great and cooks wounderful!! I have used lots of the recipes and they have turned out great! (Just as a side note I only use whole wheat flour)

Summary: Good Performer, Great Customer Service 2005-06-02
Comment: We purchased this breadmaker several months ago. It does a fine job making bread. So far, we only used the "Basic" modes to make white and wheat varieties. The first impression is "small loaves", but each slices into 10 or 12 "normal" sized slices, so when you consider the ease of making them, it's fine. The controls are basically clear, but a little awkward, due to the need to step sequentially through the various modes for the two sides (don't overshoot, or you get to do it some more). Independant controls for each size would be easier.
A hint on removing the small paddle that ends up being baked into the bread, use a plastic picnic type knife to cut around the hole and extract the paddle (careful when hot). The plastic blade will avoid scratching the non-stick coating on the paddle (don't ask me how I learned that trick). After a few loaves, you'll become quite adept at the surgery.
What prompted me to write this review was due to an initial frustration using the machine. On two occasions, the controls "froze" and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. The first time, I unplugged the machine for several hours. The second time, I called the consumer support phone # published in the manual. After working through 3 telephone menus of "Press 1 for..." I was talking to a real person, and as a pleasant surprise, she had a real mid-western USA accent. She helped me figure out how to reset the machine (hold down the "Start/Stop" button for a few seconds.) and I was back in business.
