Summary: Great bread Maker 2008-10-06
Comment: My son and I are gluten intolerant and we do own a regular bread maker. The Breadman TR875 does a great job making edible gluten free bread. We use the Gluten-Free Pantry mix for sandwhich bread which is fast and easy. It takes few ingredients and takes barely over an hour for the finished product where our old bread makes took over three hours. I slice the loaf when cool and store in an air tight container and place in the fridge where the bread lasts for about a week. I would recommend this bread maker to people who have gluten allergies or not. It looks good on the counter and works fairly quietly.

Summary: awesome! 2008-10-04
Comment: All I can say is that bread machine is great: I use it almost every day. I tried lots of different recipes and have always been pleased with the results.I also used the "gluten free" recipes and setting to make bread for a friend with ceoliac disease : he loved it!
My family particularly loves the "delay" feature: I prepare the ingredients before going to bed at night and in the morning we have freshly baked bread for breakfast: just the perfect way to start the day!

Summary: Don't lose your paddle! 2008-10-03
Comment: We purchased this breadmaker on November 29, 2007. The only complaint that I had was that I had to struggle to remove the pan, and would have assigned it a four star rating for that reason. That was last week.
We lost the paddle and phoned Salton to order a replacement. We were informed that the part was no longer available, but they would replace the entire machine as long we could provide proof of purchase dated within the one year warranty period. When we told them we could supply a printout of our Amazon invoice, they informed us that Amazon was not an authorized dealer and therefore they would not replace our machine.
First of all, replacing and shipping a large machine when only a small part is required is costly and wasteful. What happened to recycle and reduce?? I think it is unscrupulous that this company continues to sell this product without providing replacement parts. They also seem to have some problems honoring their warranty. I certainly cannot recommend buying this machine.
Please, if anyone can assist us in locating a replacement paddle, we would be most appreciative.

Summary: Don't Buy This Machine 2008-10-01
Comment: I ordered this machine. I was very excited when it came. I followed the instructions to run the machine empty to burn off any oil residue. The machine quit half way through this. It never turned on again. I called the manufacturer. The customer service person I spoke to said "You must have burned out the motor. This happens all the time." What kind of product is this? It shouldn't be sold at all. Now I have to go through the inconvenience of returning the machine.

Comment: As other reviewers who give it one-star , I got a used machine, too.
I can't tell whether the box has been resealed or not, but the product has definitely been used (and probably not once). There are obvious scratches inside and outside. The plastic seal on the control panel (which according to the user manual should be taken off carefully before first use) is missing. The non-sticky container has a very weird smell and there is some sort of grease on the bottom. Anyway, I am disappointed and returned the product. I would strongly recommend reading all reviews before you make decision.
Go to your B&M store and pick one, don't buy from amazon.
