The professional double burner range from BroilKing answers the need for electric cooking anywhere that a kitchen is not an option. It offers simple operation and easy portability with its low-profile, chrome metal housing and heavy-duty 3-prong cord. Ranging from 825 to 1650 watts, the side-by-side burners heat up quickly and are individually controlled with smooth-turning front dials. Most effective with pots that match the size of the 5-1/2-inch tubular elements, the range is not ideal for giant stock pots or huge skillets. But for the everyday needs of boiling, steaming, frying, and warming, it does the job just fine. BroilKing includes a helpful safety power light and an adjustable leg for stability. Summary: Works but cannot simmer. 2007-12-28
Comment: i bought this burner two years ago and it has been working just fine. however, i must say that i am now in the market for a new one because i have gotten tired of my only two option high or low. one can't really cook on this thing - which i need to since it's my only stove - because there is no medium range of heat. other than that it's fine.

Comment: I bought the double burner BroilKing to survive a major kitchen renovation. It served our needs excellently. We were able to cook scrambled eggs, pasta, soups, steamed vegetables, etc. with up to a 3 quart pot capacity with no trouble. Having two burners made cooking meals so much easier. The money spent on the BroilKing was repaid quickly by being able to eat meals at home. The value for the price was excellent.
