Summary: great deal 2008-11-07
Comment: I bought a refurbished machine from kens sewing center through amazon. It arrived well packed except that the bottom of the carton had not been reinforced with tape and shifted during shipping causing the auto threader device to fall apart. I did some sewing and it works great I did hook up the embroidery part and and ran through the programming portion but did not sew with it as without the threader it would be a lot of trouble to constantly have to change thread by hand!@!! I am sure it is covered by someone but if I have to send it back for repair it could be gone for weeks. All this for a lack of tape!! Well I have sent an e-mail to kens and I can only hope they will find a way to help. all else aside this is my third brother sewing machine the others are terrific values and work perfectly and I am sure this will also

Summary: Great sewing machine with features 2008-10-13
Comment: I had a set amount of money that I could use for a sewing machine and after much research I finally settled on this one. It comes with so many features that I thought it was the perfect choice for me. It comes with 7 feet so that you don't have to waste extra money buying attachments like you do with other machines.

There are only two things that would make this machine even better: a scanner so that you can embroider your own designs or a USB port so that you can upload your own designs. I know that would drive up the price to an insane amount though.

The best part of the machine is how easy it is to thread both the machine and the bobbin. There is no need for an extra bobbin threader unless you own a boutique. You don't even have to use the foot pedal if you don't want to. Thats also optional for better control.
