Individually constructed and painted by hand, each piece receives a stamp ensuring its authenticity. With or without the official seal, the brightly saturated colors and whimsically fresh patterns are instantly recognizable as Caleca designs. An 11-inch dinner plate, 8-1/2-inch shallow bowl, 8-1/4 inch salad plate, 6-ounce tea cup, and 6-inch saucer make up the Frutta 5-piece place setting with service for one from Caleca. A sunny yellow background decorates the dinner plate, salad plate, and bowl, as well as the outer bowl of the tea cup and the rim of the saucer. A medley of fruit, including a cluster of grapes, two plums, a pear, and an apple in fresh green, pink, and purple give this collection its name. Comment: I have had these dishes for 8 years now and enjoy them throughly as my everyday dishes. I have added some fiestaware, plum and sea mist pieces to expand and add variation and color to my table. You can't go wrong with these dishes

Comment: I also registered for this set for my wedding (a wide selection of pieces was available from Macy's and Bed, Bath, & Beyond at the time). I love the set -- it is durable, dishwasher and microwave safe, and goes great for casual or festive meals. I highly recommend it.
