Summary: Simply Excellent 2008-01-14
Comment: Wife loves it, extremely useful, easy to clean, her new favorite kitchen accessory! Safe on any surface up to 400F. I will be sure to let her know that there is a risk of breaking it but for the price you can't beat it.

Summary: My favorite kitchen tool, ever! 2007-12-12
Comment: I love this thing! They call it a spatula, which I think of more as something you flip burgers with, but whatever -- I guess I could flip a small burger with it. It's a great tool for stirring and mixing. It's great w/nonstick pans. I use it in prep and on the stove top.
Others have complained that the silicone split where the metal support stops, but I've used mine frequently for over a year and see no sign of wear. I just bought a couple more for stocking stuffers.

Summary: this is THE SPATULA 2007-10-24
Comment: Your kitchen only needs one spatula, and this is it. The small end gets the last little bit of mayo from a huge jar, the big end can fold egg whites, flip pancakes, deglaze a hot skillet... well, you don't need me to tell you what to do with a spatula.
I really love that it's one smooth piece of rubber. A regular spatula is 2 pieces- the handle and the blade. The blade can fall off, stuff gets inside the little hole of the blade where the handle fits in, or with time the hole gets loose and the blade wobbles around. None of that is an issue with the Chef'n. Even my expensive Le Crueset silicone spatula (a gift) is made so that you can take off the blade and put it in the dishwasher, and wash the delicate wooden handle by hand. Guess how often I use that.
I've read other reviews that this spatula can snap when mixing stiff dough, so just be aware. It's extremely durable, but not indestructable.

Summary: Great Item 2007-10-06
Comment: This is a handy tool for cooking and baking. I have about 4 of these and they work really well when you are baking cookies. They are sturdy and can be placed in the dishwasher, making them very convenient. They are especially great for adding flour to batters - a task that requires a light touch.
