The Finlandia dinnerware from Churchill China has a graceful, easy beauty that suits comfortable semi-formal occasions or stylish casual ones. With its classic off white and navy blue palette and Scandinavian inspiration, the Finlandia pattern is timelessly attractive and versatile in use. Its emphatic but airy design uses an all-over pattern of stippled flowers and vines--pleasingly tidy without prissiness or rigidity. As a subtle light-catching feature, plate and bowl rims and teacup exteriors feature an understated sculptural waviness. This 45-piece Finlandia dinnerware set includes eight full place settings, each with a 10-inch dinner plate, an 8-inch salad plate, an 8-3/4-inch rimmed bowl, a 5-1/2-inch saucer, and an 8-ounce teacup. Comment: Great dinnerware at a great price. Received this order very quickly. Not one piece arrived broken or cracked. It matched my other Churchill china although the coloring on some pieces was slightly lighter than mine. This new set was made in Indonesia rather than England. For everyday use, it's great.

Comment: Just so people know, the Churchill China company moved production from England to Columbia for the majority of Finlandia pieces, including the sets. The English-made ones are now only available from individual sellers. :(

Comment: Great china for daily use. I love the pattern of this china and would buy it again. This set, made in Colombia, is a bit rough around the edges, but a bargain at this price.

Summary: NOT THE REAL THING! 2006-11-17
Comment: I was so pleased with my first set that I decided to buy another set. I was so disappointed when I opened the new set. The pattern is lighter than the original set and the pattern is blurred in some spots. When I turned the dishes over they say that they are made in Columbia, not in
England like my first set. If you are looking for a cheap replica than go ahead and buy but if you want the real thing then make sure they are made in England. I also got stuck paying the return shipping. I will be more careful next time I buy.
