Summary: Okay 2008-11-14
Comment: These bowls are nice and match my sketch and simple lines plates. I bought them to put out the food for BBQ outside so ppl could serve themselves and them close the bowl but it didn't really worked how I thought. They're much smaller than I've imagined. But stil they are classy, look resistant and it doesn't look to me that they'll chip or anything.
It's a cool bowl to after serving on the table to go directly to the fridge. The ony bad party is that you can't microwave, but then it's always better to take out only the amount you're gonna eat.

Comment: This item was purchased as a gift for my daughter. She was very impressed with the style and loved that they nest inside each other. Attractive on the table, easy clean, great storage. Irene

Summary: Disappointing 2008-07-26
Comment: Warning: these bowls can't be put in the microwave and they can't be put in the dishwasher. The description does not mention this "minor" detail, but a small insert inside the box does. Who wants to hand-wash a mixing bowl? And who wants to move leftovers out of the storage container into something else in order to microwave it?
Maybe I should have assumed all of this because the bowls are partly made of steel, but so many items these days are microwave-safe even though they have metal in them. It never occurred to me that something made by Corelle could make my kitchen work MORE complicated.
Beyond that - the bowls look fine, and they are supposedly scratch resistant, but they just "feel" like the color will start chipping off soon. And the lids aren't as tight as you might expect. They do fit, but I wouldn't want to tip one upside down.
