This set of four measuring cups and five measuring spoons are a must-have for regular bakers. Both are made of heavyweight 18/10 stainless-steel for durability and long-lasting use. The measuring cups are useful for larger quantities of dry ingredients, such as flour, sugar, and beans, while the measuring spoons handle ingredients in smaller quantities, such as salt, spices, and baking powder. The measuring cups can even be used right on the stovetop to melt butter or chocolate. The unique oval shape of both the measures and the spoons is specifically designed for dipping into narrow bags and jars and pulling out ingredients, and the thick rims make it easy to level off your scoop with either a knife or a finger. The gradual measuring cups come in sizes of ¼-, ½-, ¾-, and 1 cup and are held together by a stainless-steel ring looped through the handles. Summary: A Very Nice Set of Measuring Cups and Spoons 2008-07-24
Comment: I chose this based on the great reviews. They are very well-made and attractive, and I plan on enjoying them for a long time. However, mine are 18/8 stainless steel (both the cups and spoons), not 18/10 as it says in the description.

Summary: Perfect for cooking 2007-10-14
Comment: I Love these!!!! They are nice and sturdy. Stand up nicely when filled with whatever ingredients you are using. Only issue is that there are not enough sizes in this set - only 4 measuring cup otions. They do sell another set with the missing measurements. I have managed fine with this set though.

Comment: This set is wonderful. High quality, heavy-duty cups are well designed as well as aesthetically pleasing. The only problem I had with this order was that the measuring spoons were not included in the packaging. Amazon was very good about arranging a partial reimbursement, but the I had to buy the spoon set elsewhere because it is not sold on Amazon.com (although, and "odd-sized" measuring spoon set from Cuisipro with the distinctive oval-shaped heads is available). No complaints from this satisfied customer, aside from not getting the whole product.

Summary: Measuring Away! 2007-08-13
Comment: When these arrived I tossed my old plastic measuring cup/spoon set and wondered how I could have ever used them.
The stainless steel construction is durable and I love love love the oval shape. These are attractive, have good weight and just may sustain a lifetime of usage.
These are however a bit pricey so if you are on the market for a similar alternative with the oval shape...go to Walmart. Oneida has a similar version for half the price. The only difference is Oneida's version is more of a brushed stainless steel, have shorter handles, and are slightly lighter in weight.
