Summary: Great table for a bargain price 2006-11-13
Comment: This table exceeded my expectations. To my surprise, it arrived 3 days after I ordered it and it was damage free! I hesitated to purchase the table after reading some of the reviews but the table is perfect and looks great in our home. My husband put it together in minutes. It has 2 leaves and is a dark brown color. Looks great with the suggested chairs. It can sit 6 comfortably...8 would be pushing it.

Summary: Great table but it takes three trys 2005-12-31
Comment: This table is a bargain! Excellent quality. Wood is very dense tropical wood. Finish is excellent. Only problem is that it arrives damaged more often than not. The package weights 70lbs and seems to nearly always get banged-up during shipping.

Summary: Incredible quality, great lines, excellent value 2005-01-13
Comment: We are on a tight budget and I'm leery of low-cost tables. This one is EQAUL to or SUPERIOR to those costing much, much more. Features that I love:
1. It is versatile and you can make it smaller or larger, depending on how many leaves you add to the table - it comes with two.
2. The leaves go on easily, great locking mechanism, easy to do
3. The color is rich, dark and lustrous. Be aware that it is an extremely dark brown, nearly black.
4. It comes nearly assembled, simply add the legs.
There were a few minor blemishes which I easily covered with a dark wood refinishing pen. No big deal.
The lines of this table are both simple and distinctive, giving a simple elegance to any room. Can be dressed up and down as you please. Do be aware that it is heavy and may need two people to move from room to room, although my husband managed it by himself.
I really, really like this. A winner all around!
