Stuff two slices of of rustic Italian bread with mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh basil, roasted red peppers, and whatever else takes your fancy, brush with olive oil, then press between the hot plates of this grill for the best panini outside Italy. The nonstick plates are hinged to adjust to any thickness of sandwich, meat, fish, or vegetables, and the bottom plate slants slightly to allow grease and juices to drain off into the included plastic cup. Brunch guests will ooh and aah over the retro-look mirror-and-glitter finish of the grill with its wide sweep of a handle. Comment: A nice addition to my kitchen appliances. Very practical for making quickie lunches for my family and grandkids, which they all enjoy. Sturdy, well built and attractive. Easy clean up and stores on edge if you appreciate the saved counter space as I do.

Comment: I've used it about 10 times now and thought I would not like the fact that there is no switch for turning it on and off. On second thought it is definitely a safety factor to have to plug it in and unplug it. It works just fine and I would buy it again and it's easy to clean.

Summary: Me encanta mi panini grill... 2008-07-19
Comment: First panini grill I've owned. My in-laws have one and use it regularly --- that's why I decided to get one (plus the fabulous sale price). So far, I love it. We use it for paninis, grilled veggies or grilled sausages and veggie burgers. I am aware that there are more expensive panini grills out there, but this is highly recommended for first-timers and those not seeking a high-end professional one.
This is also a very helpful gadget for those wanting to watch their calories.

Comment: Great grill. Use for panini peppered turkey & grilled tortilla sandwiches. Sturdy machine. Like previous reviews, the lack of an on/off switch feature was inconvenient, but purchased a switch for the plug and it works well. I bake homemade flatbread, brush on a little butter to the crust, and you get a super sandwich. Trying these out at our little deli/restaurant and it is a hit. Endless recipes to try. Will purchase a second one.
