Summary: Ok but not great 2008-06-21
Comment: We bought this as an alternative to our upright Hoover vacuum which we couldn't use in this house since it is too heavy for the soft hardwood floors and scratches them. We live in a small house (950 sqft) and have 4 cats and a toddler and bought this mainly to pick up cat hair and cat litter.
Pros:
* lightweight (does not scratch soft hardwood floors) and flexible
* quiet
* cordless
* not very expensive
* easy to use and maintain
* nice design
Cons:
* mediocre suction (frequently loses stuff, esp. cat litter)
* pet hair gets trapped in the brush and the wheels (very annoying!!!)
* requires frequent emptying
* rapid decline of suction power
* does not clean well in corners
Before we had this, I used an old-fashioned broom to sweep the floors and it didn't take me that much longer to clean the house. I wouldn't buy this again.

Comment: This is an awesome, lightweight vacuum with exceptional suction power for hardwood, tile and carpets. I'm very pleased with it so far and I've had it about a month with no problems, in my opinion this is worth every penny!
