Summary: It rusts in a few uses no matter how well you take care of it! 2007-12-30
Comment: Type it in google, all my farberware knives RUST. Big blobs of rust. So much for stainless steel. Waste of money. They were hand washed in warm soapy water and dried with a cloth immediately, still rusted in a few days.

Summary: Defective, Rusty & Chipped 2007-09-07
Comment: Block - The 2 largest knives don't even fit. The paint chips very easily.
Knives - Rust very easily and quickly - there will be rust on them just from a quick run in the dishwasher. The smaller knives are a bit ackward feeling - not balanced?
Customer Service was terrible and refused to fix the problem with the defective block. They wanted me to pay for shipping for their defective product - wouldn't be so bad if the block wasn't so heavy.
Would give it a 0-Star if I could. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Summary: Dangerous - these knives break! 2006-12-27
Comment: I am rating this one star because our knives that we bought in September 2006 have started falling apart. The knife blades are a separate part from the handle, and some sort of plastic piece that binds them together has become brittle and split after 4 months of use. Twice we've had the table knives break and the blade snap backwards while cutting a steak or a piece of cheddar. These knives are absolutely dangerous.
Not only that, but the handle assembly sometimes collects dishwater. This leaks down the blade when using the knife. Yuck.
This was money flushed down the toilet because now we have to replace it with something else. It definitely won't be any more Chinese-made mass market knives.
