I've also sealed it in the middle (down the center) to make skinnier bags.

Comment: the bags are the recomended food saver brand that I have always used. They are a heavier bag than some that you buy in a store. The price from Amazon was excellent and delivery time was as promised. Also they carry a greater selection of sizes than anywhere else.

Summary: Heavy duty bags are great 2008-01-27
Comment: Along with the V2440 food saver, these bags work fantastic. They're very thick and the vacuum created is unbelievable. I have a box type deep freezer and now can dig around to find what I want. No ripped bags. No frost in the bag that prevents content identification. Of you course you can also write on the bag.
