Summary: Worst ever.............. 2008-07-01
Comment: I would have given this particular item a "0", had there been that number of stars available ! It came without one piece, but most importantly to you all is that it doesn't work as described. Following the "instructions" caused me nothing but grief, and I think I can read and interpret things pretty well. When attempting to pull the cork out of the bottle, the plastic gripping bands kept sliding off, and just caused the cork to be repeatedly jammed into the neck of the bottle. The gripping surface just isn't sufficient to get a good enough hold of the cork to pull it all the way out. However, it does one thing during the process very well..................i.e., it causes the user to significantly increase their personal angst and stress levels to astronomic proportions. Save yourself all this by NOT buying this item. Save your time and money by getting one of the many other "cork retrievers" out there on the market, OR merely use a good old fashion wire coat hanger with one end bent at a small right angle to shove down the bottle and "fish & hook" the cork back up through the bottle's neck portion......
