Frigoverre Glass Pitcher: 68 Ounce Pitcher

Comment: I opted for two of these pitchers to replace a 1-gallon plastic version (another brand) for my iced tea. The plastic version became prone to absorbing odors from the cleaners necessary to avoid mold growth. This glass pitcher does not suffer this problem. There are some issues as have been mentioned by others: the handle is tight to the body of the pitcher, and pouring from the spout is less than optimal. I have no problems with the handle issue, but anyone with large hands/fingers might. For pouring, you must remove the lid and avoid pouring too slowly. This is not a big issue for me either. As a basic glass pitcher, this is a decent option among relatively few choices in the 2-liter (or more) capacity range.

Comment: This is a very well-made container. Someone in the family even knocked it over in the refrigerator and not a drop spilled out.

I found the caps very simple to use. I can't really see how it would be difficult to figure out -- just put it on the jar, twist the center piece to the right while holding the outer piece still. Very, very easy.

Comment: I just ordered a second one of these pitchers after using one nearly every single day since I bought it about 4 months ago. We use that one for iced tea, and the one I purchased today will be for filtered water.

Its size is perfect for fitting in the frig and also for the quantity it holds. It's also dripless, pours well, is well balanced, and I think it's attractive and nicely designed. The lid also seals pretty tightly. I haven't tried turning it upside down to see how airtight it actually is, but I can shake my iced tea around in the pitcher just fine without it spilling at all.

One other reviewer finds it too heavy. The glass is fairly thick and it's not at all a lightweight, fragile-feeling pitcher. We don't find it too heavy for our use even when it's full; however, check out its weight in the description if you have any concerns, as we're each different.

The fact that I'm buying a second one now is quite an indicator of how much I like this pitcher. :-)

Comment: This is a great quality glass pitcher, but the thickness of the glass adds quite a bit of weight. I found this glass pitcher to be a little too heavy for my current needs.
