Summary: When it works it is great 2008-04-26
Comment: I also got their product and it died after a few months.
I did get a replacement which took a while and they needed all the information you can think of before they would send the replacement.
But after another couple of months the new one died too. I will not bother wasting my time trying to replace it again.
But when it works it is a perfect size and it is very quiet.

Summary: Cannot recommend this wine cellar 2007-06-17
Comment: My Haier wine cellar also died within the warranty period. I contacted the company and followed its instructions to receive a replacement unit for a $14.95 shipping fee. Haier does not ask you to ship a malfunctioning unit back to them, but instead you have to cut off the electric cords and the model and serial number stickers from the unit and return those along with your receipt to prove you owned the unit. I thought that was odd until I learned I had to pay $40 to my local township for disposal of the first cellar because of the freon in it -- clearly Haier does not want to take on the costs of disposing of its problem units. In my case, a new unit arrived as promised and died within 2 months! This time I'm shipping back the whole unit to Haier with the request that they reimburse me both for the cost of the original unit and the disposal fee I paid for the first one. I have low expectations of a response, but I'm not paying another $40 disposal fee. I'd rather pay the return shipping costs and leave Haier with the problem and costs of disposing of their own bad product.

Summary: Piece of Junk 2007-05-13
Comment: Unit died just after end of one-year warranty. While Haier offered to replace the unit at close to its original price (including shipping) I won't take a chance on the product again given other customer experiences. I highly recommend purchasing a different brand.

Summary: The perfect size 2007-05-12
Comment: This wine cellar fits perfectly next to our refrigerator in the new home we built!!
Because it is black and silver, it looks like it was made to go with our black and stainless steel appliances!!
It works like a charm and is so quiet that you don't know it is there!

Summary: Big fizzle 2006-12-13
Comment: Mine worked fine for 3 months, then died a sudden death. It stopped cooling, but the fan still ran. It is not a deceptive on/off cycling as has been alluded to by one happy customer. It just plain croaked, suddenly. Ventilation was adequate. There was no recourse but to trash it.
