Summary: OK blender 2008-10-09
Comment: This blender is handy for on the go drinks but not very good at blending frozen fruit. I haven't tried ice for that reason. If large pieces of fruit are put in first before more liquid items, frequent hand mixing is needed. A bit of a learning curve is needed as to what works best whereas a larger, more powerful blender would not be a problem.

Summary: two years and going strong 2008-10-02
Comment: My blender is over 2 years old with nearly daily use and is still going strong. I just ordered one for my wife who is now into protein and fruit shakes. Sure beats draggin out the Oster.

Summary: overpriced shiping costs!! 2008-09-30
Comment: The price for shipping this item is more than the item itself, a little over $19. Find it in a Target store near you unless you are truly desparate!!!!

Summary: PERFECT smoothies EVERY time!! Best Personal Blender EVER! 2008-06-20
Comment: I don't often review a product, but I must say that this blender is AWESOME. I've only had it about 2 weeks but I have been making all kinds of smoothies and protein shakes. I used to [try] and make smoothies with my old full size blender years ago but the consistency was always off and I ended up burning out the motor on what I thought was a nice blender.
HOWEVER, this little blending powerhouse blends everything quickly and evenly...every time! The size is perfect for one person. The fact that you just drink it right out of the blender is handy... less dishes to wash.
Plus, I have the black version and it's the only kitchen appliance I don't mind leaving out on the counter -- It's nice looking and compact!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BLENDER TO ANYONE LOOKING TO MAKE A QUICK SMOOTHIE OR PROTEIN SHAKE ON A REGULAR BASIS! You won't be sorry! Oh yeah... and helloooooo it doesn't get much cheaper!

Summary: Great and Great Smoothie Tip 2008-06-18
Comment: I agree with most of the reviews that say this is great for simple smoothie recipes. It DOES work better than my full size blender for this type of job and I have been very happy with it.
One other thing I've learned is to just leave your serving of frozen fruit (or ice cubes) out at room temperature for 3-5 mins. FIRST, then make your drink. You could always microwave the fruit for 10-15 secs. if you're in a big hurry. This simple step will make the job that much easier for this or any blender to do.
